The Solectric™ Day-Light System is a new and innovative alternative to
conventional and tubular skylights, which allows you to bring the
daylight indoors without cutting a large hole in your roof. The patent
pending “electronic skylight” utilizes a photovoltaic (PV) solar panel
that is directly wired to high efficiency LED light fixtures, to
simulate the light producing effect of a skylight. Inside each LED
fixture is a proprietary electronic circuit that allows for the natural
dimming effect, while maximizing efficiency for the entire system. When
used with our optional AC adapter, you can seamlessly boost the light
output on overcast days, while still utilizing the available solar
power. And when the sun goes down, you now have super efficient
lighting. The Solectric™ Day-Light System is a winning combination of
renewable energy and high efficiency lighting.
Two light color choices are available, Daylight White (6000K) which
represents sunlight from a tubular skylight and Warm White (3300K)
which more closely represents incandescent lighting. Lights are
available in either 10.5" surface mount or 6" recessed light, which is
perfect for retrofitting existing 6" cans.
The Solectric™ Day-Light 650 System Kit comes with:
- One 20 Watt STC, Mono-Crystalline PV solar panel: 26" x 12" x 1"
- Choice of 2 LED light fixtures: 420 lumens typical at 7 watts
power, either10.5"D x 1.8" surface mount or 6.8"D x 4" recessed
- Wire: 33 feet of 18ga 2 strand copper wire
- Installation Kit: 4 brackets, 33' of 18ga wire, plus all
necessary hardware and wire nuts
